In his early career, Mike Epps worked at Atlanta with the Comedy Act Theatre. Later in 1995, he starred in HBO’s two Def Comedy Jam broadcasts. Mike’s first screen appearance was in 1977 when he appeared in the movie “Strays” directed by Vin Diesel.

Later in 1999, he was cast as Ice Cube’s co-star in the sequel “Next Friday”. In 2001, Epps landed a voice role in the movie “Dr Do-little 2”, in which he played the voice role of Sonny, the bear. By the end of the year2001, he featured as a comical pimp Baby Powder in “How High’.

In 2012, Mike starred alongside Jordin Sparks and Whitney Houston in the remake of “Sparkle”. This was his main non-comic role as the antagonist.

He earned acknowledgement from his audience and soon landed another role in2014 as Richard Pryor in a planned Pryor biopic directed to be directed by Lee Daniels. He also had a starring role in the comedy horror film titled “Meet the Blacks ‘in 2016.
