Eligibility Criteria for Dalhousie University Scholarship

Applicants must meet the University of Dalhousie Scholarships in Canada qualifying conditions outlined below.

For Master’s degree candidates:

It is necessary to review the CGS-M Evaluation Criteria, which are used to rate applications.

Financial Benefits of Dalhousie University Scholarships 2023

Dalhousie University provides a variety of scholarships, including:

1. Vitamin Scholarship

This award is worth $21,000 (Doctoral) and $19,000 (Masters) every academic year.

2. Nova Scotia Graduate Scholarship

  • A Master’s degree is worth $10,000 per year for two years.
  • A doctorate is worth $15,000 per year for four years.

3. Killam Predoctoral Scholarships

ITF (foreign students) + $6666.66 per term + relocation allowance (if applicable) for Master’s degree (Level 1)

President’s Award for two years + $10000 each term + relocation allowance (if applicable) for doctoral degree (Level 2)

Please be aware that the PhD program at Dalhousie University no longer charges international tuition fees.

4. Abdul Majid Bader Graduate Scholarship

This award is worth $40,000 for one academic year of full-time study. This scholarship is renewable.

This award will be valid for a period of up to 24 months.

Fees are not waived and are paid by the award.

5. Eliza Ritchie Doctoral Entrance Scholarship for Women

This award is worth $30,000 every academic year.

Students who are already receiving scholarships will be eligible for the Eliza Ritchie Doctoral Entrance Scholarship for Women as a “top-up award” to their current awards, up to a maximum of $10,000 each term or $30,000 per academic year.

6. James Robinson Johnston Graduate Entrance Scholarship for African Canadians

Master’s degree scholarship is worth $15,000 for one academic year of study. This scholarship is valid for 24 months of full-time study. This award is renewable.

A doctoral degree scholarship is worth $19,000 for one academic year of study. This scholarship is valid for up to 36 months of full-time study. This award is renewable.

Fees are not waived and are paid by the award.
